Asbury Park is most well known for the concert venue The Stone Pony. Here is where artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, and Southside Johnny first started their careers. Even though its a smaller venue, the Stone Pony holds concerts for a range of artists- both popular and local. Asbury Park is also home to Conventional Hall, a large venue that tends to be the center of all activities.

Asbury Park was recently rated #5 in the Top Ten beach towns in NJ. During the 1990s, AP had the highest crime rate out of any town in Monmouth county, however since then has made a dramatic turn around and is now one of the liveliest and vibrant communities on the Shore.

Asbury Park has a large gay community, and the nightlife is always buzzing do to the copious amounts of bars and shopping. However, it is not just a town for adults. There are amusement attractions, the beach, and shops.

Asbury Park is one of the most historic, eclectic, and well-known beach towns on the Jersey Shore and it would be a shame if you didn’t dedicate at least one day and night to this vibrant town!
