Belmar is a very family-oriented beach town in NJ that has a history unlike any other town on the Shore. The peaceful town prides itself on its clean, safe, and fun environment- a mixture that you will not find on any other beach on the Shore.
This past May, Belmar was voted the #1 Beach in Monmouth County and #5 in all of New Jersey. If that isn’t a good enough reason to visit, I don’t know what is!
Looking for a place to eat? Check out 10th Ave Burrito- it was featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! All of the restaurants and stores are small businesses owned by locals who care about their town and the well-being of all of its inhabitants.
Belmar is home to the oldest First-Aid squad in the United States
E-Street in Belmar is where Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street band founded their name, because his original keyboardist lived their, and the band often practiced there.
Belmar is known for its annual events that attract spectators not only statewide but nationwide! These events include:
- Belmar 5 Mile Johnny Cobb Memorial Run
- New Jersey Sand Castle Contest
- St. Patrick’s Day Parade
