New York City

Don’t get me wrong, I love the beach just as much as the next person, however I LOVE the city- New York that is! Everyone needs a break from the hot sand, salty seawater and windblown hair every once in a while (hard to believe, right?) Spend a day in the greatest city in the world- NEW YORK CITY!

If you’re coming from the shore, you can go to any stop on the North Jersey Coastline train of the NJ Transit and you’ll be in the city within 2 hours or less! Where I live, in Middletown, the train ride is about an hour, and the stop is only two minutes from my house. However, for the convenience of people who live on the Shore, almost every major beach town has their own train station!

There’s plenty of things to do in NYC, you can’t even fit it all in one day. Some of New York’s major attractions include:

  • The Empire State Building
  • The Freedom Tower
  • Central Park
  • Times Square
  • Statue of Liberty
  • City Sightseeing Cruises
  • Rockefeller Center
  • Hard Rock Cafe
  • Any Broadway show!

From the area and want to check out some other not-so-touristy spots?

  • Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum
  • Museum of Modern Art
  • NBC Studio Tour
  • Radio City Music Hall
  • St. Patrick’s Cathedral
  • Wall Street
  • Carmine’s Italian Restaurant

Spending the day in the city can be tiring and long- but so worth it. Make sure your trip is as comfortable and convenient as possible- check out some of these products!

This backpack is one of the simpler styles that Jansport offers. If you’re going in and out of museums and other attractions all day, you’ll have to go through various security checks.
